During a recent address at the Rose Garden Club Lunch, Donald Trump disclosed that he proposed a new nickname for King Charles. The President also spoke positively about ongoing renovations at the White House.

Donald Trump gives King Charles a new nickname

In his speech, Donald Trump revealed the nickname he suggested to King Charles, recounting a conversation between them during one of his visits to England.

Trump praised the White House renovations, describing them as transforming the residence into "a beautiful thing." He mentioned that he had redecorated the Oval Office with gold and replaced the East Wing with a new ballroom.

Comparing the White House’s updated appearance to Windsor Castle, Trump recalled asking King Charles about the castle’s origins. He said, “I said to Charles – it (Windsor Castle) was built around like 900, you know, a long time. But I said to Charles, ‘Who built this? This place is incredible’. ‘William the Conqueror’.” Trump added that King Charles described William the Conqueror as “strong and very tough.”

Based on this, Trump suggested a new nickname for King Charles, stating, “I said: ‘We have to come up with a good name for you, Charles, maybe Charles the Conqueror’.” However, King Charles declined the suggestion with, “No, no, no, please.”

Trump then boasted about the White House transformation, saying, “But William the Conqueror built a great building, but we are building one that’s going to top them all.” The renovations, including the new ballroom and security measures, are estimated to cost approximately $800 million, a figure that has drawn criticism online toward Trump’s administration.
