Kourtney Kardashian has responded to recent criticism from Jennifer Lawrence by joking that she would treat the Oscar-winning actress like one of her own sisters, specifically referencing a physical confrontation.

The Vanity Fair Comment

Last November, during Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test, the 36-year-old actress described the 47-year-old reality star as “more annoying than ever.” Lawrence pointed to the tone of season seven of The Kardashians, stating, “Everything has to be an announcement.” She elaborated on specific examples, such as declarations about not wearing outfits or removing TVs from rooms. “Just wear whatever you want. Don’t make an announcement about it,” Lawrence said. “Or, ‘I don’t have a TV in my room.’ Just don’t watch TV. Stop announcing it.”

Email and Reaction

In season eight of the Hulu series, which premiered on October 8, Kardashian disclosed that Lawrence sent her an email addressing the remarks. “She’s like, ‘I just feel like I’m one of your sisters,’” Kardashian told friend Simon Huck. After rewatching the segment, Kardashian noted, “Oh, it’s not that bad actually.”

Kardashian then made light of her well-known explosive argument with Kim Kardashian from 2020. “I said to my mom, ‘OK, she thinks she’s one of my sisters, I’ll f–king slap the s*** out of her,'” Kardashian joked to Huck. She added, “I was like, ‘Invite her over, and we can—I’ll go for it like she’s my sister.'”

Scrutiny and Sensitivity

Although Kardashian dismissed the comments, she admitted feeling overwhelmed by the scrutiny at the time. “It was also a sensitive week when she sent it,” she explained. “I felt like our show was airing and everybody was ganging up on me.”

Describing Lawrence’s email as “so nice,” Kardashian stated she had not yet replied but was prepared for a direct interaction. “I’ll just say, ‘Next time you wanna come over, we can go at it, Kourtney and Kim style,'” she joked.
