Jennifer Lawrence and Gene Stupnitsky are reuniting for a new romantic comedy titled One Month Mark, with Apple Original Films backing the project.

A fresh collaboration between Jennifer Lawrence and director Gene Stupnitsky is underway, marking their return to the romantic comedy genre. The pair previously worked together on No Hard Feelings, and now they are set to join forces again for an upcoming film titled One Month Mark.
Reports indicate that Stupnitsky is in negotiations to direct the new movie. Lawrence has already signed on to star in and produce the project. Apple Original Films is backing the production, aiming for another commercial success following their previous partnership.
The plot of One Month Mark centers on a woman who has never sustained a relationship longer than one month. She encounters a man who has never been single for more than a month at a time. This dynamic sets up a comedic pairing between two individuals with opposing relationship histories.
The reunion follows the 2023 release of No Hard Feelings, which featured Lawrence as Maddie Barker. In that film, Barker works as an Uber driver and bartender in Montauk, New York, while facing property repossession. To generate quick cash, she responds to a Craigslist advertisement from parents seeking someone to date their son, Percy, before he leaves for college.
Barker accepts the offer after being promised a car, which she needs to improve her financial situation. The narrative follows her attempts to seduce Percy, played by Andrew Barth Feldman, though she struggles to succeed. The cast also included Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, and Matthew Broderick.
No Hard Feelings achieved moderate box office results, earning just over $87 million against a production budget of $45 million. Lawrence received critical acclaim for her performance, securing a Golden Globe nomination for her work in the comedy.
