Jennifer Lopez Struggles to Move On After Divorce From Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez reportedly experiences emotional difficulty moving on from Ben Affleck despite their finalized divorce in early 2025.

Jennifer Lopez is facing emotional challenges in moving past her relationship with Ben Affleck, according to a source. Although she publicly states she has moved on from the actor, she reportedly becomes emotional when recalling their shared memories.
Jennifer Lopez’s Emotional Struggle With Ben Affleck
Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in 2021, nearly two decades after their initial engagement ended. Their marriage ended in 2025, with the divorce finalized earlier that year. Despite this, Lopez is said to be having difficulty moving forward emotionally.
A source told Closer Weekly that Lopez is experiencing emotional turmoil behind the scenes. The insider revealed, “She goes from saying she’s over Ben and is better off without him to crying over a memory of something they did together. It could be the smallest thing, and it will make her get teary-eyed.”
The source added that this emotional conflict is hindering Lopez’s ability to start new relationships. “She’s not really open. But at the same time, most people in her life agree that falling for someone new – as long as that new man treats her well – could be the best thing for her,” the insider said.
Current Projects and Potential New Relationships
At present, Lopez is promoting her Netflix romantic comedy “Office Romance,” where she stars with Brett Goldstein, known for his role as Roy in Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso.” Some reports suggest that the chemistry between Lopez and Goldstein on screen is reflected off screen as well.
Additionally, an insider mentioned to Closer Weekly that Affleck supports the idea of Lopez and Goldstein exploring a relationship, indicating his encouragement for his ex-wife’s potential new romance.
