An unplanned broadcast by Karoline Leavitt generated an audience exceeding 1,100 participants, a figure that reportedly surpassed the concurrent viewer count for Donald Trump’s newly established television platform. The former White House Press Secretary initiated the stream on Instagram while attempting to edit content, resulting in an accidental public appearance featuring her newborn daughter, Viviana.

Accidental broadcast draws significant attention

The Daily Beast reported that Leavitt appeared visibly startled when the feed activated unexpectedly. Following the abrupt termination of the session, she acknowledged the error via her Instagram story, addressing followers who had joined the live video. She wrote, “Just accidentally went live while trying to edit a reel LOL. Sorry to those who got excited…”

Leavitt indicated potential future engagement with her online community, stating, “Maybe I should go live soon, and I can answer some questions from you guys?! For now, we are going to take our Sunday nap. Byeee!”

Trump TV viewership declines sharply

Data cited by the outlet suggests the brief Instagram session outperformed recent metrics for Trump TV. Although the White House channel associated with the network launched with thousands of initial viewers, attendance subsequently dropped to 187. This decline occurred after President Trump announced restrictions preventing CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from covering administration activities.

Trump justified these exclusions by asserting that the outlets disseminated false and inaccurate reporting regarding his presidency. He further warned that additional media organizations would likely face similar bans in the near future.
