The Daisy Chain Fields festival reached $20 million in total contributions for organizations supporting women and girls — a figure achieved after Melinda French Gates matched Olivia Rodrigo’s initial $10 million fundraising haul through Pivotal. Rodrigo closed the inaugural, women-led event alongside Stevie Nicks at Great Park in Irvine, California, on Saturday, August 29.

Fundraising milestone and nonprofit distribution

Rodrigo announced during her headline set that the festival had generated $10 million for its 10 nonprofit partners. French Gates then doubled that sum via Pivotal, bringing the final total to $20 million. The funds will be distributed equally among the beneficiaries, which include Baby2Baby, Planned Parenthood, and the National Women’s Law Center.

According to the festival’s official site, net proceeds support work across reproductive rights, maternal health, and economic security. Earlier in August, Rodrigo engaged with FreeFrom founder Sonya Passi to discuss survivor support as part of Daisy Chain Fields’ broader mission.

The Nicks-Rodrigo duet and guest appearances

Rodrigo welcomed Stevie Nicks onstage during her August 29 performance. The pair performed “Landslide,” the 1975 Fleetwood Mac classic. A TikTok clip documented their collaboration, showing them trading vocals and dancing together.

Nicks offered public praise following the duet, remarking that the 23-year-old singer reminded her of herself at that age and saying she felt “somewhat awestruck” by what Rodrigo had created.

Rodrigo’s set also featured Sarah McLachlan for “Building a Mystery” and “Angel.” Alanis Morissette joined her for “Ironic” after Karen O withdrew from the lineup due to a personal matter.

Festival conclusion and 2027 commitment

The night concluded with Rodrigo thanking fans and the participating organizations. She confirmed plans for a return event, declaring, “I will see you next year!”
