Prince Harry Attends First Public Event in UK After Moving Back
The Duke of Sussex, 42, appeared solo at the inaugural Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner and Awards in London on September 17 — his first official UK appearance since relocating from Montecito, California.

The Duke of Sussex, 42, attended the first annual Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner and Awards on Thursday, September 17, at the Old Royal Naval College in London — marking his first official public appearance in the United Kingdom since returning with his family last month.
Background of the Invictus Spirit Gala
The event honored community spirit and the wounded, injured, or sick service personnel and veterans who compete in the Invictus Games, a sports competition cofounded by Prince Harry in 2014.
A press release characterized the gala as “an opportunity to come together to recognize the people whose courage, commitment and contribution have made a lasting difference to the Invictus Movement, celebrating the stories of resilience and dedication that continue to inspire and support our international Invictus Community.”
Harry’s Appearance and Attendance
Prince Harry wore a classic black tuxedo upon arrival and engaged with guests before the ceremony. He attended the event without Meghan Markle, 45, who was not present.
The gala represents the Duke of Sussex’s first official UK appearance following his family’s relocation from Montecito, California, where they had lived for several years.
The move back to the UK occurred last month.
