Trump Claims TikTok Influence Lead Over Taylor Swift
Donald Trump asserted he leads Taylor Swift in TikTok influence, citing a significant margin during a White House press conference.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed he surpasses American singer Taylor Swift in influence on the social media platform TikTok.
During a press conference held at the White House and broadcast by Fox News, Trump stated that he holds the top position on the app by a wide margin.
He indicated that recent figures showed him leading TikTok, while Taylor Swift ranked eleventh. Trump added, "I am first on TikTok by a large margin... and maybe these numbers are accurate, maybe not."
Does Trump Outperform Taylor Swift on TikTok?
However, platform data contradict Trump’s statements. Taylor Swift has approximately 33.5 million followers on TikTok, along with over 274 million likes on her content, surpassing Trump in both follower count and engagement on the app.
Trump’s remarks came amid a series of criticisms directed at Swift recently, coinciding with widespread media attention on the singer’s reported marriage to American football player Travis Kelce, which attracted significant social media coverage.
Trump Compares His TikTok Popularity to Taylor Swift
Simultaneously, the official White House account posted an edited image of the Madison Square Garden facade in New York displaying the phrase "Trump Your President," accompanied by the caption "It happened!"
The post sparked broad criticism, with some interpreting it as an attempt to capitalize on the media buzz surrounding Swift’s wedding to mock her, while others viewed it as consistent with Trump’s known approach to social media engagement and issuing statements through these platforms.
