A 14-year-old girl narrowly escaped death after falling from the 12th floor of a residential building in the city of Adana, located in southern Turkey, where she hit the ground.

A video captured the terrifying moments of the fall in broad daylight, showing the shock of bystanders present at the scene.

Fortunately for the girl, named Eğrin Deniz Karaca, she first landed on a flexible canopy covering the building’s entrance before falling from it to the ground, which lessened the impact of the fall.

Local reports stated that the girl received first aid at the site of the accident and was then transported to a hospital. Medical examinations diagnosed her with multiple fractures that are not life-threatening.

The video has been widely circulated on social media platforms, accompanied by comments expressing astonishment at her survival after such a fall.

Police are investigating the account provided by the girl’s family, which states that she lost her balance and fell. Authorities are working to confirm that the fall was neither intentional nor a suicide attempt.
