US authorities discovered 16 children in severe conditions in an Ohio rural home, leading to the arrest of four adults on child endangerment charges.

American authorities uncovered 16 children living in extremely poor conditions inside a rural home in Ohio, resulting in the detention of four adults on charges related to child endangerment.
The local police, in coordination with state law enforcement agencies, conducted a search operation at a residence in the small village of Hamden, where the children were found in urgent need of medical care, according to officials.
During a press conference, the Ohio state attorney general described the conditions in which the children were found as "unimaginable even for adults, let alone children," as reported by the Associated Press.
The arrested individuals include Gary Siders Jr., Gary Siders Sr., Christina Siders, and Elizabeth Siders. None of them have appeared in court yet, and public defenders have not been assigned to them through official channels.
William Archer, the prosecutor for Vinton County, stated that the accused face second-degree felony charges for child endangerment, which involves causing serious physical harm.
Authorities have not disclosed whether the children are related to the accused but confirmed that the case is not connected to human trafficking. They also noted that the adults are not from the local area and are believed to have been moving between various locations.
The children’s ages range from one and a half years to 18 years old, including both boys and girls. Officials reported that several of the children were in critical health conditions when found, and two were airlifted to specialized medical centers for treatment of serious injuries.
