The Lebanese judiciary has released George Dib, known as 'Doctor Food', after he benefited from the newly enacted general amnesty law.

MTV website learned that the Lebanese judiciary decided to release George Dib, nicknamed "Doctor Food," and drop charges against him.
Note that this decision is a result of his benefit from the general amnesty law published in the Official Gazette today and became effective following the Constitutional Council's ruling rejecting the appeal filed against the law.
Sources at MTV confirmed that George Dib appeared before the Criminal Court in Mount Lebanon days ago in a case accusing him of manufacturing and smuggling narcotics inside boxes of "wafer.ai," a product previously launched by George Dib on his official pages and marketed through them. His legal representative, Attorney Issam Khoury, argued for his innocence, submitting documents proving his client's lack of involvement in any drug trade within "biscuit" boxes.
He relied on evidence regarding his geographical location, communication movements, and the absence of any proof of contact with suspects at the time.
MTV sources revealed that the judiciary issued a decision in this case today, ordering his release from prison because he fully benefits from the general amnesty law published in the Official Gazette and now ready for implementation. Since George Dib was pursued in only one drug case and did not repeat the offense, he is among the first beneficiaries of the general amnesty law.
