MTV website information revealed that the Lebanese judiciary issued a decision to release George Dib, known as Doctor Food, regarding the complaint filed by his ex-wife Shorouk over domestic violence. The Lebanese judiciary set a financial bail, which was paid by Doctor Food's legal representative days ago.

However, this decision has not yet contributed to his release because he is being prosecuted in the drug trafficking case referred to the Criminal Court, and no decision has been issued yet to drop this charge, so he remains in prison.

MTV website information confirmed that George Dib will fully benefit from the general amnesty law because the crime of drug trafficking was committed before March 1, 2026. Additionally, the crime he is prosecuted for has not been repeated, and there are no other prosecutions against him, meaning the conditions for amnesty are fully met. Our site's information stated that "the Criminal Court will schedule a nearby session to hear his testimony, but if the general amnesty law comes into effect during this week following the Constitutional Council's decision, Doctor Food will be able to submit a request through his legal representative to review his file at the Public Prosecution Office, and he will be exempted in this case and released."
