Moroccan Blogger Ben Nesnas Detained Over Dog Meat Video During Eid al-Adha

A Moroccan blogger known as Ben Nesnas was detained following the circulation of videos purportedly showing him skinning and roasting a dead dog, presenting it as an Eid al-Adha sacrifice. The footage, filmed in the city of Martil, sparked widespread controversy and public outrage.

According to human rights sources and activists, the videos depict Ben Nesnas handling the dog carcass and cooking its meat, which he then consumes. This content provoked a strong reaction on social media platforms and drew numerous complaints from animal rights organizations.

Security forces in Martil arrested the blogger after a period of monitoring and tracking him, acting on a search warrant issued in connection with the videos.
