In a moment filled with emotions and memories, veteran German coach Jürgen Klopp sent a special message to his partner in success at Liverpool, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. This message comes as "The Egyptian King" prepares to leave "Anfield" at the end of the 2025/2026 season, turning a page on one of the most beautiful chapters in the English club's history.
The television interview conducted by Mohamed Salah with former Reds legend Steven Gerrard via "TNT Sports" network featured a special video clip from Jürgen Klopp addressed to Salah. The coach, who supervised the training of the Egyptian star from his arrival in 2017 until Klopp's departure in 2024, recalled their first moments together, emphasizing that what they achieved together transcended mere titles and championships.
Klopp addressed Salah with touching words, saying: "Mo, it was a great honor to work with you, it was an absolute pleasure." The German coach continued, recalling their old promise: "I remember when we first met, I told you let's create a special story, and when we look back many years from now, we will surely smile." He added: "I am truly smiling now... grateful that I was part of your journey, and you still have wonderful years ahead to offer."
For his part, Mohamed Salah did not miss the opportunity to praise his former coach, with whom he spent 7 golden years. Salah affirmed that the most prominent feature that makes Klopp unique is "player management." Salah explained: "It's not as easy as some might think; controlling a dressing room full of stars and managing players' personalities requires exceptional talent, which Jürgen always excelled at."
It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah (33 years old) has officially decided to leave Liverpool this summer, ending a 9-year career during which he broke all records and returned Liverpool to local and continental podiums. Klopp's message comes to affirm the depth of the bonds formed during that era, before Salah embarks on a new adventure at his next destination.
