The inner circle of French star Kylian Mbappe broke its silence to respond to the wave of controversy sparked in recent days, after his trip to the Italian island of "Sardinia" amid his treatment program, confirming that the trip was made with the knowledge and approval of the medical staff and the management of Real Madrid.

Mbappe had decided to travel to Italy accompanied by his girlfriend, the famous actress Esther Exposito, a trip that caused anger among Real Madrid officials because the French striker did not avoid cameras, making his personal life the focus of attention at a difficult time for the club.

Despite Mbappe's significant contributions to Real Madrid this season, scoring 41 goals in 41 appearances, there is growing anger against the French star within the club's corridors.

In a statement issued by the player's camp via the French Press Agency (AFP), it said: "A number of criticisms are based on exaggerated interpretations of elements related to a recovery period managed precisely by the club, and they do not reflect the reality of Kylian's daily commitment and dedication to working for the team."

Despite this defense, the recent months have witnessed a clear crack in the wall of trust between the club and the French star; observers in the sports city have noted a state of distancing at all levels, whether with his teammates or the technical staff. This tension was clearly embodied at the moment of his substitution against Real Betis following his injury; Mbappe left the field displeased, appeared lukewarm in greeting coach Alvaro Arbeloa, and was reserved in providing any explanations about the nature of his injury.

According to reports, the noise surrounding Mbappe has begun to worry the Real Madrid management, which fears the continued erosion of the French star's image among fans after the torrent of criticism he has recently faced for multiple reasons. However, the bet on the French star remains strong in the senior management, aware that the deal Florentino Perez worked on for many years will always remain under the microscope of scrutiny and monitoring.

Alvaro Arbeloa had settled the debate on Sunday with strong statements, saying: "Every player does what he sees fit in his free time, that is not my concern," but he followed that with a message carrying many implications: "We did not build Real Madrid with players wearing tuxedos, but with knights who finish their matches with their shirts soaked in sweat and covered in mud, thanks to effort, sacrifice, and perseverance."

Real Madrid bid farewell to the UEFA Champions League in the quarter-finals, and is close to losing the La Liga title due to the large points difference between them and leaders Barcelona. If the latter wins the "Clasico," they will be crowned La Liga champions next Sunday, three rounds before the end of the season.
