Amazon adds 100+ Alexa shopping features for holiday prep
Amazon has introduced over 100 new Alexa capabilities, including subscription management and delivery updates, ahead of the holiday season.

More than 100 new shopping-related functions have been integrated into Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa, just before the peak retail period. The expansion covers tasks such as managing subscriptions, handling payment issues, updating delivery instructions, and answering queries about Prime memberships.
New list and subscription controls
The updated interface enables users to create, register, view, and modify shopping lists through voice commands. Subscription management is also now available via the AI bot; customers can adjust delivery frequencies, such as switching from monthly to quarterly shipments, or edit specific drop-off details and addresses.
In addition to logistics, the system allows direct inquiries regarding Prime and Audible accounts. Users can ask questions related to billing discrepancies or resolve payment problems without navigating separate menus.
Rising adoption of agentic tools
This release follows a year in which Amazon rolled out several AI-centric shopping utilities, including a dedicated shopping assistant and notification systems for new products and offers. The company reported that usage of these agentic features has increased eightfold since the beginning of the year.
Data provided by Amazon indicates that more than 400 million consumers utilized Alexa for shopping activities over the past 12 months.
