Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that the maritime agreement between Libya and Turkey, recently approved by the House of Representatives based in eastern Libya, is "blatantly illegal, void, and null," adding that it "completely ignores geography."
Mitsotakis added, in remarks to Reuters as Greece concluded its presidency of the UN Security Council, that he also calls for an urgent "international truce" to protect navigation in the Black Sea following the sinking of a Greek-owned container ship on Wednesday.
