Barcelona Congratulates Hamza Abdel Karim on World Cup Debut
Barcelona congratulated its player Hamza Abdel Karim after his first appearance at the 2026 World Cup during Egypt's match against Belgium.

Barcelona extended congratulations to its Egyptian player Hamza Abdel Karim following his debut in the 2026 World Cup.
Through its official account on the platform X, the Catalan team wrote: "We congratulate our Egyptian player Hamza Abdel Karim, who began his journey in the #WorldCup2026 by participating in the Group G match between the Pharaohs and Belgium, which ended 1-1."
Hamza Abdel Karim took part in Egypt's match against Belgium held at Lumen Field on Monday, entering the game as a substitute in the 76th minute, replacing his teammate.
At 18 years and 165 days old, Abdel Karim became the youngest Egyptian and Arab player to ever participate in a World Cup.
During the previous season, Hamza Abdel Karim played for Barcelona on loan from the Egyptian club Al Ahly, before the Catalan team requested to activate the clause to purchase the young player's contract.
