Isabel Haugseng Johansen, the girlfriend of Norway striker Erling Haaland, has been attracting significant attention during the World Cup with her distinctive style and enthusiastic support for Haaland.

Haaland has scored seven goals in the tournament, including two in Norway's last-16 victory over Brazil, placing him just one goal behind Lionel Messi. Norway is set to face England in Miami on Saturday night, with Haaland aiming to knock out his country of birth.

Off the field, Haaland maintains a quiet family life with Haugseng Johansen, with whom he shares a son born in December 2024. The couple appears stable and content as they navigate the tournament together.

Haugseng Johansen has developed a substantial social media presence, boasting 72,000 Instagram followers and frequently sharing posts from the World Cup. One popular video features her wearing a Norway shirt, denim skirt, and cowboy boots, which has been well received by fans.

Haaland himself responded to this post with the comment "Yeeeehaw!" Fans also expressed admiration, with remarks such as "She’s lovely! So is Erling," and "First lady of Norway." Other comments included "The wag of the world cup" and "So beautiful."

The couple both originate from Bryne, Norway, where Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, settled after his football career, which included spells at Manchester City and Leeds United. They played for the same youth club but only connected after Haaland moved to Borussia Dortmund in Germany, when Haugseng Johansen initiated contact.

Haaland recounted to NRK, "She sent me a message. She played for the same club I played for, Bryne, so she checked me out. I didn't check her out." He added with a smile, "I was single for quite a while. From my experience, you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you're always looking for a girlfriend, you'll never find one."

Regarding their shared interests, Haaland revealed that they enjoy gaming together, particularly Minecraft. "It's going to be quite embarrassing for her that I say this, but she likes to game too. So we game Minecraft together. We just sit and game and make houses together and everything like that. Or we go home to Bryne and order kebabs."

In the upcoming match against England, Haaland may face familiar opponents, including current Manchester City players Marc Guehi and Nico O'Reilly, as well as John Stones, who recently departed the Etihad Stadium after his contract ended.
