Morocco secured a 3-0 victory against Canada to become the first team to reach the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Moroccan national football team advanced to the quarterfinal stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by defeating Canada 3-0 in their match held on Saturday evening in the United States.
The victory was largely credited to Moroccan player Azeddine Ounahi, who scored two consecutive goals in the 50th and 82nd minutes. His teammate Soufiane Rahimi added a third goal during the eighth minute of added time at Houston Stadium, where the match took place.
Morocco’s "Atlas Lions" will compete in the quarterfinals, awaiting the winner of the upcoming match between France and Paraguay, scheduled for later the same day.
