As the 2026 World Cup approaches its critical phases, ticket prices have soared to record levels, with some final match tickets at MetLife Stadium exceeding $30,000. This surge highlights the extensive global interest in the tournament.

The World Cup is returning to North America for the first time since the 1994 edition. With the tournament expanded to include 48 teams, competition and ticket demand have intensified, particularly as the knockout rounds commence and major matches draw near.

Fans from around the world traveling to the United States, Canada, and Mexico to attend matches in the stands have driven resale platforms to significantly increase prices for final-stage tickets, especially for the semifinals and final.

Final match tickets top the list of the most expensive tickets for the 2026 World Cup. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Official ticket prices for the final range from $2,030 to $7,875 depending on the category. However, secondary market prices have reached unprecedented levels, ranging from $5,900 to over $38,000 per ticket.

Semifinal match tickets rank second in price, with the two matches set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Official prices for these semifinal games vary between $420 and $3,295, while resale prices can climb to approximately $9,500.

Quarterfinal matches, hosted in cities such as Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Kansas City, come third in ticket pricing.

Official prices for quarterfinals range from $275 to $1,775, with some resale transactions reaching up to $4,000.

These prices remain subject to change due to dynamic pricing systems and fluctuating demand levels. Ticket values tend to increase as the tournament progresses and the identities of the competing teams for the title become clearer.

With the presence of top global football stars and participation from leading national teams like Argentina, the final stages of the 2026 World Cup have become among the most sought-after sporting events, both in terms of fan attendance and the commercial value of tickets.
