The Associated Press confirmed Moore’s win, which positions him to face attorney Everett Wess in the general election. The seat is open due to Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville’s departure.
Prior to the runoff, Trump conducted a tele-rally to endorse Moore, emphasizing his longstanding support and describing him as a “true America-first patriot” who has supported Trump from the beginning. Trump highlighted Moore’s early election as one of the first officials nationwide to back him.
Trump praised Moore’s background as a successful businessman and state legislator, noting his conservative achievements. He cited the Center for Legislative Excellence’s recognition of Moore as Alabama’s most effective legislator during his tenure in the State House.
Expressing confidence in Moore’s capabilities, Trump stated that Moore had contributed significantly to advancing their political agenda and efforts to secure the southern border. He urged Alabama voters to participate in the primary and support Moore as the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate.
