A close Trump associate disclosed a plan for Ivanka Trump and Marco Rubio to run together in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

A close associate of the U.S. president revealed a strategy under which current Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ivanka Trump would run together in the next presidential election. He indicated that the president’s daughter holds strong chances to succeed her father, ensuring a "bright future" for Israel and preventing a Democratic candidate from winning the presidency.
In an interview with the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, evangelical preacher Mike Evans, a highly influential figure within the Republican Party, acknowledged that he is currently preparing a campaign to promote Ivanka Trump. He noted that the current Vice President, J. D. Vance, lacks sufficient capabilities to succeed Donald Trump and therefore "will not become president of the United States," according to his assessment.
Evans explained that "if Ivanka Trump agrees to the plan and runs alongside Marco Rubio, no one will be able to compete against them," describing his plan as "the key to a Republican victory in the upcoming presidential election."
However, he conditioned the implementation of the plan on President Trump winning the midterm congressional elections, attributing great importance to this for Israel. He stated, "If Trump does not win the midterms, it is likely that the next president will be a Democrat hostile to Israel. That means the Democrats will control everything," as he estimated.
Regarding the tension in Israel's relations with the U.S. administration, Mike Evans addressed Israelis with the message: "Calm down 100%, Trump has not turned against you at all."
Through his remarks, the evangelical preacher close to Trump sought to ease Israeli concerns about the recent "harsh statements" emerging from Washington. He asserted that "what is happening now is not Trump’s policy toward Israel. I know the president’s policy clearly, starting from the release of Gaza hostages, through the recognition of Jerusalem, to the attack on Iran."
He attributed the strained relations to "the complexity of the situation," affirming that Trump is trying to avoid damage during the midterm elections. He added, "The president will not accept the ‘poisoned cup of Iran,’" alluding to the memorandum of understanding with the Tehran government, and clarified, "Trump cannot give the Iranians $300 billion."
Commenting on the current negotiation tracks with Iran, Evans said, "What is happening now is just negotiations and has nothing to do with the president’s policy toward Israel. We are certain of that because we have an office in the White House. We evangelicals gave him the presidency, and we all support Israel."
According to the Hebrew newspaper, Evans is aware of the shock spreading in Israel, not only due to what seems to be a change in Trump’s stance toward Netanyahu but also because of the sharp statements from his deputy, J. D. Vance. However, he added, "All you have to do is remain calm. This is a president at war who wants to avoid any wrong step."
According to Pentagon calculations, any wrong move in Iran would lead to the deaths of many Americans. This would mean eight years of ground war and thousands of American soldiers returning in coffins, which Trump does not want.
When asked if he felt disappointed by Vance’s statements, Evans replied, "It is a long game. My confidence is based on a person I know and respect. He will not become an enemy of Israel. When we gave Trump the presidency, we asked him for only two things: support for Christian values and support for Israel. In fact, the president exceeded all our expectations. This is a war, and people say things they might regret."
He clarified, "The vice president is not the president, and in fact, there are two teams advising Trump. There is the brilliant Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, and the CIA director. All of them strongly support Israel."
Nevertheless, he pointed out that figures such as Vance, Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and the U.S. ambassador to Syria, Tom Barrett, are all trying to emphasize the need to work on diplomacy due to the negative impacts of the war on the U.S. and global economies.
He added, "We have to find a solution. One thing I know about Trump is that he never tolerates nonsense or those who lie and manipulate him. The Iranians are liars, terrorists, destroying the country of the great Iranian people, and have made life miserable for everyone in the Middle East. It is impossible for Trump to cooperate with such a partner," according to his expression.
Evans stressed that Iran must not be allowed to possess a nuclear bomb, stating, "We will not allow them to have it. If Osama bin Laden had a nuclear bomb, New York would be like Hiroshima; if Hitler had a bomb, we would all be speaking German."
He concluded that "the memorandum of understanding gives Israel strength simply because it is not a party to it, especially since the memorandum requires the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Lebanon. If Netanyahu says he cannot withdraw because it harms the country’s security, the Iranians cannot continue to operate under the memorandum," according to Evans’s view.
