The fire broke out on Tuesday, leaving a large number of casualties, dead and wounded, as firefighting teams intensified their efforts to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to neighboring buildings.
Iranian media had earlier reported on Tuesday that at least 10 people were injured in the fire. Official media sources quoted the fire department as saying that "the flames have been brought under control and the fire largely contained," while the governor of "Shahriar" confirmed at least 3 deaths initially.

The governor announced the opening of a broad investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident, confirming orders to arrest the project owner, along with directing the competent authorities to identify those potentially responsible for the incident.
