Israeli forces reported gunfire at an advanced military position in southern Golan, responding with mortar and artillery fire without casualties.

On the night between Sunday and Monday, Israeli authorities announced that one of their advanced military sites in southern Syrian Golan came under gunfire from an armed individual who then withdrew from the location, according to Channel 14.
The Israeli military stated that its forces detected gunfire directed at an advanced position in Syria and responded with mortar and artillery shelling. A combat helicopter also participated in the retaliatory attack.
The incident did not result in any injuries, according to the official statement.
The shooting occurred in Syria at the Tel Kodna area within the buffer zone controlled by the Israeli military.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli helicopters targeted the village of Abdeen and its surroundings with machine-gun fire in the western countryside of Daraa province in southern Syria.
The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that several residents of the village fled their homes due to continued artillery shelling by Israeli forces.
SANA added that Israeli forces shelled Abdeen village in the western countryside with artillery, while Israeli aircraft conducted intensive flights over the Quneitra and Daraa countryside regions.
On Friday, the southern Syrian countryside of Daraa and Quneitra witnessed six separate Israeli incursions within a few hours.
