Iran Announces Full Peace Agreement Text with US Following Official Signing
Iran confirmed reaching a peace agreement with the United States, with the full text to be published after the official signing in Switzerland this Friday.

On Sunday evening, Iran confirmed it has reached a peace agreement that ends the war with the United States. The country stated that the complete text of the agreement will be published after the official signing scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced the finalization of the memorandum of understanding with the United States. He said the official signing will take place in Switzerland on Friday, marking a new phase of de-escalation between the two sides following months of heightened tensions.
According to Gharibabadi’s statements reported by the Iranian Tasnim news agency, the signing ceremony will coincide with talks between the heads of the two countries’ delegations. These discussions will focus on arrangements for the next stage of negotiations. He added that the days leading up to the signing will be used to verify the extent of the US commitment to fulfilling its obligations.
Ceasefire and Lifting of Blockade
The Iranian official confirmed that starting from Sunday night, there will be an immediate and permanent halt to military operations across all fronts, including the Lebanon front. This development highlights the expanding scope of the agreement.
He also stated that the US naval blockade imposed on Iran will begin to be lifted from Sunday night. This measure is one of the key practical provisions of the agreement, expected to have a direct impact on trade and energy flows in the region.
Comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding
The Deputy Foreign Minister explained that Iran has included all its fundamental and important positions in the memorandum of understanding. He emphasized that the full text will be released after the official signing to allow the public to review its details.
Gharibabadi remarked that "the scale of commitments we accepted is incomparable to the scale of gains and achievements" Iran obtained, referring to what Tehran considers positive political and economic outcomes of the agreement.
New 60-Day Negotiation Round
He revealed that the agreement opens the door for a new round of negotiations lasting 60 days. This phase will begin after confirming Washington’s implementation of its commitments, particularly regarding the cessation of war and lifting of the blockade.
This stage will also involve the release of Iran’s frozen assets and funds, which Iran views as a fundamental condition for advancing the negotiation process.
“Lack of Trust” as a Governing Factor
The Iranian official stressed that the memorandum of understanding "does not imply trust in the other party." He explained that it was drafted under conditions of "lack of trust," while affirming that Tehran will continue to closely monitor the US’s fulfillment of its obligations.
Gharibabadi noted that progress in the negotiations was not solely the result of diplomatic efforts but also due to what he described as "military achievements and the resilience of the people."
He added that the Iranian armed forces were "on high alert to deliver a decisive response," alluding to the military pressures accompanying the negotiation process.
This announcement comes as the international community awaits the publication of the full memorandum of understanding text, amid widespread interest in the details of its provisions and implementation mechanisms, especially given the sensitivity of issues related to freedom of navigation, security of supply, and energy.
The commencement of the agreement’s implementation and the cessation of military operations will serve as a real test of the two parties’ ability to transition from escalation to tension containment in one of the region’s most prominent recent crises.
