Iran has been presented with proposals from mediators aiming to ease tensions with the United States and reopen diplomatic negotiations.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters that the mediators offered Tehran a plan to calm the conflict with Washington, which includes a 10-day ceasefire intended to create opportunities for renewing the temporary agreement reached between the two sides last month through Pakistani mediation.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei confirmed that Tehran has received "proposals and ideas," noting that the mediators are actively working to prevent further escalation. However, he refrained from providing details at this stage.

When asked about reports concerning the ceasefire proposals, Baqaei stated that Iran's diplomatic efforts continue alongside responses from its armed forces, emphasizing that the Iranian diplomatic apparatus is fully engaged in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Reports also indicated that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made efforts during his recent visit to Qatar to revive the diplomatic track.
