Israel on highest alert as Iran strike nears
Israel’s Channel 12 said the army has declared maximum alert as security officials prepare for a possible U.S. military move against Iran in the coming days.

Israel’s Channel 12 said the Israeli army has declared maximum alert in anticipation of a possible escalation with Iran.
The channel added that the security establishment is preparing for the possibility that Trump will decide on military action against Iran in the coming days. It said Israel is closely watching a draft U.S.-Iran agreement and fears sanctions relief for Tehran without the nuclear file being addressed.
According to the channel, Israeli officials say there is an understanding with Washington that Iran will not be allowed to keep uranium enrichment capabilities. It also reported Israeli assessments that the negotiations will not produce an agreement and that the military option will be carried out.
Channel 12 further said military commanders are urging the political leadership to settle its position between an agreement with Lebanon or expanding freedom of military action.
