Israel has expressed its desire to obtain approval from US President Donald Trump to conduct a strike against Iran, according to the Hebrew channel "Kan." Currently, the confrontation remains confined to the United States and Iran, with no Israeli involvement.

The channel stated that Israel is not a participant in the ongoing exchange of fire between the US and Iran but would respond if attacked by Tehran. Israeli assessments anticipate that the escalation will continue over the coming days.

It was also noted that the US administration aims to maintain a "measured" escalation against Iran without escalating into a full-scale war, currently refraining from targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure.

The American newspaper "New York Post" cited Israeli sources indicating that Tel Aviv is prepared to join future US strikes on Iran if requested.

The source clarified that Israel does not want to return to a situation where civilians must constantly seek shelter but emphasized that Tel Aviv also does not want to ignore developments in Iran.

Meanwhile, the Hebrew channel "i24NEWS" reported an American official stating, "Everything depends on Iran’s response; if they continue firing, last night’s events could become daily occurrences."

Separately, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that Netanyahu had a phone call with President Trump during which they agreed to continue coordination on all fronts.

This came alongside intelligence information disclosed by CNN, citing informed sources, about a possible Iranian plot to assassinate President Trump, although details of the plan were not provided.

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed that the military continues to monitor developments in both Iran and Lebanon, stressing its readiness to act immediately if the situation demands.
