Israeli Army Assassinated Senior Security Official in Gaza

The Israeli army assassinated a prominent security official in northern Gaza on Saturday by striking the motorcycle he was riding. In a separate airstrike, the army also attempted to target another security official by hitting a vehicle north of Gaza City.

Palestinian medical sources told "Iram News" that an Israeli airstrike targeted a motorcycle in the Sheikh Radwan area, resulting in the death of Abdulnasser Al-Maqadma.

Al-Maqadma served as the head of the Emergency Committee in northern Gaza, one of five committees formed by Hamas during the war to manage the affairs of residents and displaced persons in various parts of the Gaza Strip. These committees were recently dissolved, with the National Committee for Gaza Management under the Council of Peace asked to assume their responsibilities.

The Hamas Interior Ministry confirmed that Brigadier General Abdulnasser Al-Maqadma held the position of Director of Police for the North Gaza Governorate and was killed during the attack.

In a related incident, the Israeli army targeted another security official within Hamas’s police force in the Al-Saftawi area north of Gaza City, leaving him seriously wounded.

Additionally, a Palestinian was killed and another injured during shelling targeting a group of youths in the Al-Sawarka area in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike struck the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, injuring several youths, including a journalist.

In a separate development, Ben Gvir called for the "destruction" of villages in the West Bank similar to the destruction in Beit Hanoun in Gaza.
