Israeli Defense Minister Threatens Hamas Leaders Abroad with Assassination

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened Hamas leaders abroad with assassination, saying that "none of them should die peacefully in their beds."

Katz vowed to pursue and kill those he claimed were a "major part of the October 7, 2023 operation," adding that they "survived once due to a failure, but next time it will come," referring to the attempted assassination of movement leaders that took place in the Qatari capital Doha on September 9, 2025.

Katz's threats came hours after the assassination of the commander of the Northern Brigade in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Ezzedine Al-Baik, in an airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City.
