Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Kats suggested Turkey host Hamas members from Gaza amid rising tensions between Israel and Turkey over the war in Gaza and Syria's situation.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Kats suggested that Turkey host members of the Hamas movement from Gaza.
Kats' remarks come at a time of escalating tension between Israel and Turkey over several issues, including Israel's war on Gaza and conditions in Syria.
Kats noted that "Israel will continue working to achieve its security objectives and ensure that the threat posed by October 7, 2023, does not return."
He added that if Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan "wants to help his ideological brothers and comrades in Gaza, let him invite them to move to Antalya, where a large space has become vacant following the absence of Israeli tourists."
The Turkish coastal city was a major destination for Israeli tourists before relations between the two countries deteriorated sharply and flights between them ceased.
