Local sources in Syria’s Quneitra province, located in the country’s southwest, reported to RT that an Israeli military force advanced into the southern countryside of the governorate, establishing a checkpoint close to the border with the occupied Syrian Golan.

The unit comprised three vehicles, according to the sources. Its personnel carried out detailed inspections of passing cars and vehicles, while also scrutinizing the personal identification documents of civilians. These measures led to severe traffic congestion and restricted movement for residents traveling between nearby villages and towns.

Aerial Surveillance and Cross-Border Incursion in Daraa

Simultaneously, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft conducted flights over Damascus. This aerial activity coincided with another Israeli military incursion into southern Syria — specifically, into the western countryside of Daraa governorate.

Sources confirmed that, on Saturday, an Israeli military force composed of two tanks and one armored vehicle crossed into Syrian territory via the Tel Abu al-Gheithar gate, heading toward the “Ghurfa Majham” area in Wadi al-Raqad.

Pattern of Daily Israeli Military Operations in Southern Syria

Military incursions by Israeli forces into southern Syrian territory — particularly in Quneitra and Daraa governorates — have taken on a daily character, sources stated.

These operations routinely include firing on civilians, arrests, construction of barriers, installation of checkpoints, soil leveling, denial of farmers’ access to their fields, intimidation of livestock herders, and the creation of an open-ended escalation environment carrying the gravest possible implications.
