Istanbul to Host NATO Parliamentary Summit on June 28-29
Istanbul will host a NATO parliamentary summit on June 28-29 ahead of the NATO leaders' summit in Ankara.

The Turkish Parliament announced that Istanbul will host a NATO parliamentary summit on June 28 and 29, serving as a preparatory meeting for the upcoming NATO leaders' summit in Ankara.
This parliamentary gathering is part of Turkey's preparations to host the NATO leaders' summit at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on July 7 and 8. The summit will include U.S. President Donald Trump and will focus on security, defense, and the alliance's strategic priorities.
The meeting will be chaired by the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Naaman Kurtulmuş, and is expected to bring together the heads of parliaments and delegations from NATO member states. Also attending will be NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Markus Bierstrich and members of the Assembly's bureau, along with several high-level representatives.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly organizes the summit in cooperation with the host country. This event serves as a platform for parliamentary consultations ahead of the official NATO leaders' meeting, aiming to enhance coordination and dialogue among member states' parliaments.
The Istanbul summit marks the third NATO parliamentary summit, following previous meetings held in the United States and Belgium. The main session is scheduled for June 29 at the Presidential Office in Dolmabahçe Palace, where participating parliament leaders and delegation heads are expected to deliver speeches.
