Japan Protests UN Map Showing Disputed Kuril Islands in Russian Color

Japan has demanded revisions to the United Nations’ newly adopted world map after it rendered the four contested Kuril Islands — referred to by Tokyo as the “Northern Territories” — using the same color assigned to Russia.
