Jordan announces interception and destruction of 10 missiles from Iran
Jordan reports intercepting and destroying 10 ballistic missiles launched from Iranian territory, with no casualties reported. The military confirms ongoing readiness to respond to any threats.
The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was subjected to a missile attack originating from Iranian territory in recent hours.
He confirmed that Jordan’s air defense systems engaged 13 ballistic missiles entering Jordanian airspace, successfully intercepting and destroying 10 of them, while three others fell in remote, uninhabited areas away from population centers.
The spokesperson clarified that "the response to the attack followed established operational procedures, and, praise be to God, no casualties or injuries were recorded. Specialized teams have begun securing impact sites and taking necessary measures to ensure citizen safety."
He added: "The Jordanian Armed Forces urge citizens not to approach or touch any unknown objects or debris, and to report them immediately to the relevant authorities. They also call on the public to avoid spreading unverified information and to rely solely on data issued by official sources."
The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army emphasized that its units and formations continue carrying out their duties around the clock, and that surveillance and air defense systems remain fully prepared to counter any threat, ensuring the nation's security, citizens' safety, and sovereignty of its skies.
