The official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Saud Al-Otaiban, announced on Saturday that seven Iranian ballistic missiles were intercepted without any casualties.

He stated that the armed forces detected and engaged seven hostile ballistic missiles within Kuwaiti airspace during the early hours of the day, successfully intercepting them over several residential areas, resulting in some falling debris.

Brigadier General Al-Otaiban added that the Iranian attack caused material damage but did not result in any human injuries.

The Kuwaiti armed forces affirmed their ongoing commitment to performing their duties efficiently and competently, maintaining constant readiness and preparedness to safeguard national security and protect the safety of citizens and residents.

Earlier on Saturday, the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority announced the resumption of air navigation at 6:15 a.m. local time following the Iranian attack.

According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the authority coordinated with relevant agencies, confirming the stabilization of the situation and the elimination of threats after the country was subjected to Iranian aggression.

As a precautionary measure due to the attacks, Kuwaiti airspace was temporarily closed, leading to the diversion of eleven flights operated by Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways to neighboring airports.
