Between Postponement and Preparation: What Awaits the South in the Coming Hours?
Diplomatic talks regarding southern Lebanon and negotiation files yielded no progress, raising the possibility of postponement. However, political sources confirm that military meetings are still scheduled for this month.

"Nidaa Al-Watan" learned that "the meeting held by Ambassador Nada Hammadeh Muawwad at the US State Department addressed the situation in the south and the negotiation file, without leading to any new developments or achieving noticeable progress. The lack of tangible results may push for a postponement of the anticipated talks, especially since Lebanon has not been officially notified of their date. Consequently, the coming hours remain decisive to determine whether the talks will take place between October 20 and 22, or be postponed for further preparation."
In contrast, political sources told "Nidaa Al-Watan" that "the military meeting is still on track within the expected timeframe during the current month."
