Netanyahu Demands Full Nuclear Dismantlement in Any Iran Deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons as negotiations between Washington and Tehran advance toward ending the conflict.

He stated that any agreement with Iran must include the dismantling of uranium enrichment sites and the removal of highly enriched uranium, emphasizing that his policy aligns with that of former US President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu reiterated, "Iran will never have nuclear weapons."

On Sunday, Netanyahu shared on the X platform an AI-generated image of himself alongside Trump, underscoring their united stance against any Iranian nuclear program.

This statement followed a phone call with Trump, during which the former president affirmed he would not sign any final deal without the complete dismantlement of Iran's nuclear program and removal of all enriched uranium.

According to Reuters, an Israeli official said on Sunday that during the Saturday evening call, "President Trump clearly confirmed he would be firm in negotiations regarding his longstanding demand for dismantling the nuclear program and transferring all enriched uranium out of Iranian territory, and that he would not sign a final agreement without these two conditions."

The official added that "the United States is keeping Israel informed about developments in negotiations related to the memorandum of understanding to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and initiate talks to reach a final agreement on disputed outstanding issues."

During the conversation, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel "will retain freedom of action in confronting any threat on all fronts, including Lebanon," and noted that "President Trump renewed his support for this principle."
