Israeli media reports that the IDF has prepared an offensive plan against Hezbollah should it join the war, while Israel aims to topple Iran's regime rather than merely improve negotiation terms.
Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that "the Israeli army has prepared an offensive plan against Hezbollah in case it engages in the war."
It confirmed that "Israel aims to overthrow the regime in Iran and not only improve negotiation conditions," clarifying that "the Israeli military level expects a change in the situation regarding Iran pending resolution in the United States."
The newspaper noted that "America is planning an intensive and swift operation against Iran to reach a nuclear deal with better terms."
