Number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz drops to 9 on Thursday

Initial ship tracking data made available Friday showed that the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday dropped to 9 vessels, compared to 14 the previous day, levels below the 10-day average of approximately 18 ships.

According to the data, eight ships departed and one ship entered the strait.

It should be noted that some ships may transit waterways with their transmission and reception devices turned off, thus not included in these figures.

Among the eight departing ships were a large liquefied natural gas carrier sailing empty, a very large crude oil tanker fully loaded, and another vessel.

In contrast, one ship entered the strait carrying dry bulk cargo.
