Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Fires Break Out on Two Tankers and a Tugboat in the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" stated today, Thursday, that two oil tankers and a maritime tugboat suffered separate fires after attempting to use unauthorized routes through the Strait of Hormuz.

The "Revolutionary Guard" clarified that one of the tankers struck a naval mine while trying to cross a passage located south of the strait, while a fire broke out on another giant oil tanker as it exited the route in the eastern part of the waterway.

Fires also erupted on a maritime tugboat that approached the second tanker to help extinguish its blaze.
