Data from the US Department of Defense reveals that military spending on the war in Iran has surpassed $47 billion, a 25% increase from July estimates.

Data released by the US Department of Defense "Pentagon" and reviewed by Reuters shows that the military has spent more than $47 billion so far in the war on Iran, an increase of over 25 percent compared to the department's estimate last July.
The largest share of the war's operational cost was allocated to replenishing used munitions, exceeding $29 billion, in addition to more than $6 billion for replacing military equipment.
The figures did not clearly reveal whether this includes the cost of repairing damage to US bases resulting from Iranian missile and drone attacks.
According to the latest cost estimates, the Air Force, for example, spent $7.6 billion to cover operations of dozens of fighter and bomber squadrons.
The Navy also incurred $1.5 billion for deploying more than 24 naval warships, including several aircraft carriers.
The cost of supporting Army forces (ground troops) in the region reached $2.1 billion.
According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), more than 50,000 soldiers are participating in total in this war mission.
A stalemate currently prevails in the conflict, amid strong possibilities of resuming the war following the congressional midterm elections scheduled for November 3 next year.
