A Qatari LNG tanker is heading toward the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since the conflict began, with Iranian approval to build trust.

The Qatari liquefied natural gas tanker Al Khorayyat set sail Saturday from the Ras Laffan port in Qatar, heading toward the Strait of Hormuz en route to the Qasim port in Pakistan, according to data from the London Stock Exchange Group cited by Reuters.
Sources told Reuters that the move received Iranian approval as a gesture to build confidence with Qatar and Pakistan, the latter playing a mediating role in the war.
Should the voyage be completed, it would mark the first crossing of a Qatari LNG carrier through the strait since hostilities began.
