Report Reveals Targets of the Upcoming American Strike on Iran

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the United States is working on preparing a new target bank inside Iran, at a time when Israel expects the military confrontation between Washington and Tehran to expand during the coming week.

Potential Targets

According to the channel, assessments discussed during security and political meetings held in Jerusalem in recent days concluded that the escalation between the United States and Iran is likely to expand, with continued American strikes against targets inside Iran.

Channel 12 stated that Washington is compiling a new list of targets including facilities related to electricity production and transmission, aiming to target what it described as a "weak point" in Iranian infrastructure, adding that this approach aligns with previous statements by US President Donald Trump.

The channel quoted an Israeli official as saying: "We are preparing for the possibility of an escalation of the confrontation, and we are ready for all scenarios that may have repercussions on Israel."

Israeli Assessments

Despite expectations of an expansion of the escalation, the channel indicated that assessments of the security establishment and political leadership in Israel still lean toward the confrontation remaining confined between the United States and Iran, without spilling over into the Israeli arena for the time being.

It added, according to Israeli assessments, that Tehran realizes that expanding attacks from the Gulf region to include Israel would have major repercussions, which, according to the report, explains why it has not targeted Israel so far.

No immediate comment was issued by the United States or Iran regarding what Channel 12 reported about preparing a new target bank or the nature of the potential targets.

In a related context, Channel 12 revealed, citing two Western diplomatic sources, that Qatar presented a new initiative to the United States and Iran aimed at resuming negotiations and containing the escalation.

This comes as the United States continues to carry out military strikes inside Iran for the sixth consecutive night, while Washington affirms that its operations aim to undermine Iranian military capabilities, amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region.
