Saudi Warplanes Launch 37 F-15 Strikes on Taiz, Al-Hudaydah
Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree stated that Saudi warplanes carried out 37 F-15 airstrikes on Taiz and Al-Hudaydah provinces within the past 24 hours, killing and wounding civilians.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, announced on Thursday evening via his official social media platforms that Saudi fighter jets conducted 37 airstrikes over the preceding 24 hours.
The Targeted Provinces and Aircraft Type
All strikes were carried out using F-15 fighter aircraft, according to Saree’s statement. The raids targeted two Yemeni provinces: Taiz and Al-Hudaydah.
Saree confirmed that the aircraft involved in the operations took off from Saudi Arabia’s Khamees Mushait Air Base.
Civilian Casualties Reported
The Houthi military spokesperson reported that the airstrikes resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
Background: Saudi Coalition Accusation and Houthi Denial
On Wednesday, the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen accused the Houthis of attempting to strike Mecca with a drone.
Abdulmalik al-Houthi, leader of Ansar Allah, denied the accusation, calling it “a fabrication and deception.” He also called for an Islamic alliance against Israel.
