Switzerland will host initial negotiations between the US and Iran in Burgenstock tomorrow, following a ceasefire agreement between the two nations.

The Swiss government announced on Thursday that preliminary talks between the United States and Iran are scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday, at the mountain resort of Burgenstock. This development follows the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Tehran and Washington.
The government stated, "So far, the plan remains to hold a meeting between the United States and Iran, alongside mediators from Pakistan, Qatar, and other concerned countries, tomorrow in Burgenstock to conduct preliminary discussions on implementing the agreement."
In a statement, the Swiss Foreign Ministry added, "Currently, no additional information is available regarding the agenda or details of this meeting."
Geneva has begun preparations to receive the delegations. On Wednesday, the Swiss Federal Council announced the deployment of army forces to support civilian authorities in security arrangements for the US-Iran meeting.
The statement explained that the decision to deploy troops is part of enhanced security measures taken by the responsible authorities to secure the meeting and ensure it proceeds in a safe environment, given its political and diplomatic significance.
