Trump stated, “Barack Hussein Obama, have you ever heard of him?” and claimed that Obama had spent over $100 million on attempts to repair the pool. He further alleged that combined expenditures by Obama and President Joe Biden reached $147 million, asserting that the project never fully reopened after these efforts.

These figures were challenged by reports from The Associated Press, which indicated that the Obama-era renovation, completed in 2012, cost roughly $34 million—significantly less than Trump’s claim.
