As the journalist attempted to pose her inquiry, Trump interjected before she could complete the sentence. "Wait, wait... CNN fake news, the worst," he stated, refusing to address the query. This interruption reinforced his ongoing criticism of platforms and networks he perceives as unfair to his political agenda.
Threats against NBC anchor
In a separate incident involving broadcast standards, Trump responded to comments made by Kristen Welker, the host of NBC’s "Meet the Press." Welker had characterized the results of his endorsements for Republican candidates in the primary elections as mixed.
Following this assessment, the president declared that he would file a complaint against Welker with the Federal Communications Commission. He argued that her remarks warranted regulatory action by the agency against her.
