Trump: Iran told us it is in a state of collapse and wants us to open Hormuz

US President Donald Trump said today Tuesday that Iran informed the United States that it is in a state of collapse and wants it to open the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible,

He added in a post on the "Truth Social" platform: "Iran has just informed us that it is in a state of collapse. And it wants us to open the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible, while trying to determine its leadership status (and I think it will be able to do that!)."

Trump pointed out on Monday that he is unlikely to accept Iran's latest proposal to end the conflict, after Tehran proposed a plan to reopen the Strait while postponing discussion of its nuclear program to subsequent negotiations.
